GENERAL MEASURES OF ACTIONS
Organizations working in parent empowerment can execute on a broad range of actions in pursuit of their impact agenda.
These actions include but are by no means limited to:
- Workshops and trainings
- House meetings
- 1-on-1 meetings
- Research meetings (with experts and individuals in a position of authority)
- Canvassing
- Phone banking
- Public actions
- Online (reach, engagement and actions via a range of platforms)
- Communications by parents (either mass communications or targeted to specific individuals or audiences)
Many organizations measure outputs, outcomes and infrastructure for each specific action.
Many also measure – at a high level – a summary of actions overall. (see template below)

Below is a template of common measures organizations use in the parent empowerment space at a summary level across actions.
As a reminder, your organization should ‘Goldilocks’ what it measures. You should only capture measures that help your organization make better decisions to increase impact (and are practical to collect).
